ART BASEL WITH PORSCHE DESIGN, INTERVIEW MAGAZINE AND THIERRY NOIR

Each year, as Art Basel returns to the Miami Beach scene, The Temple House attracts many of the major names in art, fashion, style and design.

The blank slate of our storied private event venue aligns perfectly with the inspired gatherings this city-wide celebration is known for...and those in attendance always come away with a story to tell.

Needless to say, the 2013 vintage of the premier international art show, was no exception -- and left us with a night to remember!

Porsche Design Group, Interview magazine and Berlin-based pop artist Thierry Noir brought “The Heart of Freedom” collaboration to The Temple House - along with Zoe Kravitz, her band Lolawolf and a large segment of The Berlin Wall (freshly shipped from Germany).

Porsche Design CEO, Juergen Gessler, was on hand. As were New York based designer, Daniella Kallmeyer, the mysterious international fashion presence, James Goldstein, and a handpicked variety of the art and fashion world’s elite.

The grandeur began with the delivery of the Berlin Wall segments.

Here is the artist, Thierry Noir, standing next to the Berlin Wall segment that he painted for this Temple house event.

The primary art installation at The Temple House this evening was “The Heart of Freedom” - the Porsche Design and Interview Magazine Art Basel collaboration with Thierry Noir.

In this installation, Thierry Noir has taken the Porsche Design’s iconic TwinBag and incorporated his own signature hand-painted ‘heart faces’ on a very limited edition of 200 handbags.

Musical accompaniment during the event was provided in the form of an evocative set by Zoë Kravitz and her band Lolawolf.

Lolawolf debuted their single "What Love Is", from their upcoming EP release, during their Temple House performance.
